Site work and paving for a road / highway in Maquoketa, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Maquoketa is requesting sealed competitive quotes for crack sealing and sealcoat work on multiple city streets. Final quantities will be paid by actual measurements done together and agreed upon by both Contractor and Public Works Director. All work necessary to complete the projects shall be included in the unit cost as quoted. Please keep in mind that sales tax does not pertain to municipal work and should not be included in your bid. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and make a decision that best suits the interests of the citizens of Maquoketa. Any questions about the bidding process for these projects may be directed to Jon Hopson, Public Works Director, at 563-212-0595 1. Sealcoating material to be used is MC-3000 oil. Applied at a rate of not less than 0.3 gallon per square yard. 2. Aggregate: Crushed and washed 3/8 stone, no sand, not less than 24 pounds per square yard.3. Contractor will be responsible for the preparation of the streets; including getting rid of weeds, powerbroom the street, patch potholes and edges. 4. Contractor is responsible for covering manholes and watervalves. 5. Contractor is responsible for all traffic control.
