The work generally includes supplying and installing 490 linear feet of 8” CL 52 Ductile Iron Waterline; seven 8” Ductile Gate Valves; two 8” x 6” Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint Reducer Fittings; one 8” x 4” Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint Reducer Fitting; two 8” x 8” Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint Tee Fittings; one Hydrant Assembly; six 8” Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint 45° Bend Fittings; two 8” Ductile Iron Mechanical Joint 11-1/4° Bend Fittings; removal and replacement of 65 linear feet of granite curbing; supplying and installing approximately 420 cubic yards of new gravel subbase; removal and replacement of 55 square yards of cement concrete sidewalk; and replacement of approximately 180 tons of bituminous concrete pavement. All work shall comply with the provided Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents. Sealed bids must be prepared on forms provided by the Engineer and submitted to the City of Essex Junction. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory on-site pre-bid meeting. Contract documents will be made available by email and through a digital Sharepoint site to those on the Plan Holder List. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must execute the contract and file acceptable performance, labor, and material payment bonds within ten days of contract award. The contractor agrees to complete the work in its entirety within 45 calendar days, commencing seven days after the Notice to Proceed.
