The contract generally includes the following work items on Main Street in the City of Essex Junction: supply and install 850 square yards of 4-inch thick new cement concrete sidewalk; supply and install 200 square yards of 6-inch thick new cement concrete sidewalk; supply and install 515 linear feet of 4-inch perforated SDR 35 PVC pipe; supply and install 4 Nyloplast drain basins or approved equal; supply and install 100 square feet of detectable warning surface; supply and install 350 cubic yards of plant mixed gravel; supply and install 100 cubic yards of topsoil; supply and install 750 square yards of lawn area restoration. All work will be in accordance with drawings, specifications and other contract documents and information prepared by the City of Essex Junction. Sealed bids will be received at the City of Essex Junction offices until 2:00 p.m. on March 18, 2026. Digital drawings, specifications, and other contract documents may be obtained by emailing the consulting engineer. Prospective bidders will be added to the Plan Holder List and provided access to a digital Sharepoint site with all relevant project information. Prospective bidders must be on the Plan Holder List to be eligible to submit a bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Essex Junction. The acceptable form for a bid guaranty is either a bid bond or certified check. The contractor must complete all work between June 01, 2026 and October 02, 2026. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.
