Site work and new construction of a civil project in Nashville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project involves the following work: construction of a water supply well, including site work, a water treatment building, well pump, chemical feed equipment, and appurtenances; installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 12-inch PVC water main and appurtenances; and improvement of approximately 1,050 linear feet of existing farm drive to a gravel drive, widening it from 10 feet to 26 feet. Bidders are required to show evidence of being licensed to perform the work as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany each bid. Bids from small, minority, female contractors, and qualified disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, considering quality, performance, and the time specified in the proposals for contract performance. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the bidding documents.
