The Town of Islip is seeking disposal service for bulky and miscellaneous non-hazardous, non-recyclable, and non-combustible solid wastes generated at the Town’s resident drop-off facility and Materials Recycling Facility at 1155 Lincoln Avenue, Holbrook, NY. This procurement is for the disposal of approximately 1500 to 3000 tons per year of such waste, delivered in Town containers by Town vehicles to the Bidder’s transfer facility located in Suffolk or Nassau counties, New York. Bids must be accompanied by either a Certified Check on a solvent bank or Trust Company acceptable to the Agency, or a bid bond from a surety in a form acceptable to the Agency, equal to five percent (5%) of the three-year average total price contained in the bid. This is to assure contract execution if awarded. The Agency Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof deemed most favorable to the Agency. No bids may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. Bidders are required to observe employment conditions, minimum wage rates, and comply with applicable local and State laws.
