The work consists of the placement of a 1/2 -inch PMAR Chip Seal with an application of Micro-surfacing on top (Antioch Cape Seal) to residential streets. Additional work includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation, removal of vegetation, pavement markings and markers, installation of permanent pavement markings and markers, traffic control, and water pollution control, at various locations in the City of Antioch. All bidders must purchase a complete bid set from BPXpress Reprographics to be considered responsive and to receive addenda notifications. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No contract will be awarded to a contractor or subcontractor unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. A copy of the Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA) is included in Division 'D' of the Project Special Provisions. Bidders must be licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of Business and Professions Code. The City of Antioch reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions thereof; to accept a bid or portion thereof; to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time; or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights. a. Work to be Performed: The work shall generally consist of the placement of an 14- inch PMAR Chip Seal with an application of Micro-surfacing on top (i.e. Antioch Cape Seal) to residential streets. Additional work shall include, but not be limited to, surface preparation, removal of vegetation, pavement markings and markers, installation of permanent pavement markings and markers, traffic control, water pollution control and all other work shown on the plans, specified in the Standard Specifications, these Special Provisions and as directed by the Engineer. b. Location: The limits of work for the project shall be the streets listed in Appendix A and shall include the returns at connecting streets. The work consists, in general, of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation and superintendence necessary to perform the work required for P.W. No. 328-14. The work is more fully described in the Description of Project, Construction Details and Plans contained in the Contract Documents. The Contract Documents are defined below in Section 4 of this Agreement. All questions prior to award of the Contract shall be directed to the attention of Public Works Director via email at cip@antiochca.gov. The deadline for submissions of questions and clarifications concerning the Contract Documents is March 10, 2026.
