The East Bay Regional Park District is requesting proposals from Construction Management firms for construction management and inspection services for the Develop Public Access Project at the former Roddy Ranch Golf Course at Deer Valley Regional Preserve. The scope of services includes activities prior to award of a construction contract, biddability and constructability review, contract administration, submittal review, material testing, inspection, and project closeout. The project involves renovating and restoring the former golf course and providing facilities for passive recreation under a Habitat Conservancy Plan. The scope includes restoration and enhancement of grasslands and two wetlands; picnic areas, parking, restrooms, and nearly four miles of multi-use trails; an interpretive pavilion for environmental education; demolition of golf course infrastructure; road improvements; earthwork including grading, regrading, and excavation; and minor utility modifications to existing utilities. Relevant permits have been secured or are pending, including requirements from the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservation Plan, State Water Resources Control Board, and Contra Costa County Environmental Health.
