Furnish all necessary materials, tools, equipment, and labor to install a new Motor Operated Valve (MOV) for the Litchfield Elevated Storage Tank located at 287 Blackgum Rd, Pawleys Island, SC 29585, and install a 12" straight pipe spool for the Airport Elevated High Tank at 932 Aviation Blvd., Georgetown, SC 29440. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications listed in the Bid Package, and the recommended practices of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in bidding and to reject all bids if it is in the Owner's best interest to do so. Unless all bids are rejected, the award will be to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. Contractor shall supply: o All Materials, Parts, Labor and Equipment to perform this work safely. o (1) 8" FLOWMATIC AZURE - MODEL 45 Electric Actuated Valves o (1) 12" Straight Pipe Spool Project consists of: o Replacement of the existing altitude valve for the Litchfield Elevated Storage Tank located at 287 Blackgum Rd, Pawleys Island, SC 29585 with an above-ground motoroperated valve (MOV) by bringing valves, piping, and fittings above ground. o Removing existing check valve, providing and installing a straight pipe spool inside the Airport Elevated High Tank Altitude Valve pit at 932 Aviation Blvd., Georgetown, Georgetown County, SC 29440. The contractor shall remove existing piping and install new, above-ground piping, fittings, and valves. The existing valve pit will be isolated for the installation. Contractor shall provide all Materials, Pipes, Valves, and parts necessary for the project. The owner will provide electrical connections for the MOV valve. Contractor shall perform all excavation. Contractor shall tie into the existing water main and abandon in place of the existing valve pit or arrangement. Contractor shall furnish and install (1) 8" Motor Operated Valve, (1) 8" CHECK VALVE, (2) 8" GATE VALVES with necessary piping and fittings. No coating required on exterior piping. Contractor must ensure that the valve, the pipeline, and the mating connections are aligned and centered. Pictures of a similar configuration of the pipe arrangement are attached. Sketch drawings for the Litchfield Elevated High Tank Site and Airport Elevated High Tank are attached.
