Site work for a water / sewer project in Midland, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes approximately 100 linear feet of in-trench replacement of existing 8-inch and 10-inch sanitary sewer, installation of 6 new manholes, 4 spot liners, and 975 linear feet of 10-inch and 12-inch complete manhole-to-manhole in-place CIPP lining. Additional work includes brick and bituminous trench roadway restoration, sewer line cleaning and television inspection, service lateral reinstatement, and all appurtenances and restoration for construction in the Borough of Midland. All bidders are required to purchase the bid documents in PDF format for a non-refundable deposit. Proposals must use forms furnished by the Borough and be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, payable to the Borough of Midland. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage rates and demonstrate compliance with Federal Executive Orders and good faith efforts to solicit Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety calendar days after receipt of bids. Procurement is subject to requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act for contracts exceeding $25,000, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bidders must also comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
