Idaho Falls Power (IFP) is seeking bids for locating services beginning in March 2026, with provisions to extend the contract for subsequent years. Bidders are expected to provide pricing for locating both electric and fiber infrastructure for IFP and Idaho Falls Fiber (IFF). IFP experiences around 5,400 locate requests per year, including approximately 35 after-hours emergency locates. The infrastructure includes approximately 267 miles of primary underground conductor, 330 miles of secondary conductor, and 219 miles of underground fiber optic cable, with around 33,000 accounts within the City of Idaho Falls, which covers about 24 square miles. Bidders should use this information to develop their cost proposals.
