Construction services are required for a Design-Bid-Build project involving the construction of a new two-lane road approximately 730 feet in length, or 3,100 square yards, along with the demolition and reconstruction of about 2,400 linear feet, or 16,000 square yards, of existing asphalt and concrete roadway. The work includes installation of lighting, passive barriers, active barriers, and associated controls. Additional site work will involve grading, utilities, stormwater management features, and related improvements to support the roadway and access control requirements at the Fort Drum Ontario Avenue (Gas Alley) Access Control Point. The Government anticipates the design and construction to be completed within twelve months from Notice to Proceed and invites contractors capable of performing the required work and obtaining necessary bonding to submit capability statements. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Government estimates that design and construction of the potential requirement can be completed within twelve (12) months from receipt of Notice to Proceed. If market conditions indicate this estimate may be unrealistic, Respondents are encouraged to provide specific information (such as known equipment lead times or other timeline concerns) for Government consideration when responding to this Sources Sought Notice. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
