Demolition for a mixed-use development in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Project consists of demolition of multiple sites including Old Junior High and Mendenhall High School. Bids must be prepared in compliance with the instructions to bidders, submitted in duplicate upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications, and accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to the owner will be required of the successful bidder. The work must commence on a date specified in a written notice to proceed and be fully complete by July 1, 2026. Work is subject to liquidated damages. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bid documents must be purchased through the specified website and will only be made available as entire documents. Partial sets will not be issued.
