Bridge Repair on SR 13 (Bridge No. 104.3), known as Federal Aid Project No. STBG-0037-01(073) / 109811301 in Simpson County. Scope of Work - Bridge 14439 Reshape the banks to 2:1 or flatter in accordance with the details in the Attached Drawings Place geotextile fabric and #300 riprap in accordance with the details in the Attached Drawings Fill voids under End Bent 6 in accordance with the notes in this document Extend pile encasements at Bents 4 & 5 in accordance with the details in the Attached Drawings Project Completion : September 19, 2025 Value Estimate Range - $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 For Federal Aid Projects the attention of bidders is directed to the contract provisions governing selection and employment of labor contained in the bid proposal. Minimum wage rates for Federal Aid Projects have been predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and are subject to Public Law 87-581, Work Hours Act of 1962, as set forth in the contract provisions. Unless otherwise set out in the bid proposal, all other projects are subject to the predetermined minimum wage rate set by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Fair Labor Standards Act. When a DBE goal is contained in the contract, the award will be contingent upon the Contractor satisfying the DBE requirements. Bid bond, signed or countersigned by a Mississippi Resident Agent or qualified non-resident agent, with Power of Attorney attached or on file with the Contract Administration Engineer of the Department, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check for five (5%) percent of bid, payable to State of Mississippi, must accompany each proposal. The attention of bidders is directed to the provisions of Subsection 102.07 pertaining to irregular proposals and rejection of bids. MSDOT - Call 01 - Bridge Repair on SR 13 A pre-bid meeting for monthly lettings will be held either in the Commission Room on the 1st floor of MDOT's Administration Building, 401 N. West St., Jackson, MS 39201, or via a teleconference source, at 2:00 p.m. on the Monday immediately preceding the fourth Tuesday. No pre-bid meeting is required for emergency lettings. This meeting is to inform DBE firms of subcontracting and material supply opportunities. Attendance at this meeting is considered of prime importance in demonstrating good faith efforts to meet the contract goal. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
