The contractor shall complete a comprehensive upgrade of the campus-wide fire alarm system at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Fort Meade Campus. Work includes demolition as required; replacing, adding, and installing computers, fire alarm panels, and various fire alarm devices; performing electrical work; pulling fiber; updating graphical maps; and repairing finishes including painting, ceiling tiles, and grass as needed. All components and devices must be fully compatible with the most current Johnson Controls, Inc. Simplex fire alarm system. The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to perform the construction in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and scope of work. The period of performance is 730 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed and includes an initial period for background investigations, fingerprinting, badging, and required training.
