The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to remove and replace six (6) exterior heavy metal doors at the San Francisco Armory in accordance with the specifications found in the Scope of Work. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bid submissions shall be emailed to PWC@cmd.ca.gov. Subject line must include the IFB No. 125453, Door Removal and Replacement and Contractor Business Name. The prime contractor MUST possess a type B - General Building Contractor license. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, protection, cleanup, and disposal necessary to: 2.1. Perform mandatory site visit and field verify every dimension, handing, swing, vision lite size/location, fire-rating (if any), thresholds, hardware function, finishes, etc. 2.2. Carefully remove existing doors, frames, hardware, vision lites, thresholds, weatherstripping, and associated components. Protect all adjacent surfaces. Repair any damage outside the door openings at Contractor’s expense. 2.3. Furnish and install new heavy-duty exterior hollow metal doors, frames, vision lites, complete hardware sets, weatherstripping, thresholds, drip caps, door sweeps, gasketing, and joint sealants. 2.4. Field paint new doors, frames, vision lite trim, and any disturbed areas using low-VOC paint to match existing color and finish. 2.5. Leave site clean, doors fully operational and weather-tight Potential Bidders may submit written questions regarding the bid by 3/12/2026.
