Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hersey, Michigan. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway.
Sealed bids are requested for the placement of Chip and Fog Seal course on various roads throughout the county. All materials and workmanship must meet current MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and an attached special provision for Fog Seal. The contractor must maintain at least one lane of traffic at all times, and payment for traffic control and necessary minor traffic devices is included in the payment for Chip Seal and will not be paid separately. Operations must be performed during normal business hours unless otherwise authorized. Bids must be submitted on the specified Bid Sheet in a sealed envelope, are valid for one year from award, and may be extended for up to two additional one-year terms by mutual agreement. The estimated initial quantity is over 30 miles (over 400,000 square yards), with actual quantities subject to adjustment. The agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities as deemed in its interest. Minority business enterprises are given full opportunity to submit bids and will not face discrimination on the basis of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin.
