Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check equivalent to 5% of the amount of bid , payable to the order of the Harrison County Landfill Commission (HCLC ), as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond , acceptable to the governing body , for the faithful performance of the contract . This sum shall be forfeited in case the selected bidder fails to enter into the contract within fifteen days after the contract has been awarded . No Bidder may withdraw their Bid after the time for opening bids has passed.
