Renovation of an educational facility in El Monte, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project is for the removal and replacement of the existing roof at El Monte-Rosemead Adult School, including removal, temporary storage, and reinstallation of solar panels. The contractor is responsible for demolition, disposal, storage, installation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. The contract time is 48 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms, accompanied by the required bidder's security not less than ten percent of the bid amount, and must include a list of designated subcontractors. All contractors and subcontractors must be properly licensed and registered, comply with prevailing wage laws, and provide certified payroll records. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required. Bids that do not comply with instructions, are late, or lack mandatory supporting documents will be rejected. Substitution requests must be made at the time of bid and included with the submission. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding.
