Furnish all labor and materials required to remove and dispose old fixtures and furnish and install new replacements as per the project specifications for the Mountain View High School Canopy Exterior Lighting Replacement Project. All bids must be made on the forms presented, received by the Purchasing Department, and opened publicly at the specified time and place. The project is governed by the informal bid requirements of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA), and bidders must be on the approved contractors list. The Contract Time is 45 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk is required. Bidders must be licensed contractors with valid and active Class B and/or C-10 licenses, and subcontractors must be licensed for the necessary trades. Each bid must conform to the Contract Documents and include a list of designated subcontractors. The District may reject any or all bids or waive irregularities. Each bid must be accompanied by security of not less than ten percent of the maximum bid amount. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with labor code requirements, pay prevailing wages, and provide payroll records. Bidders must comply with Fleet Regulation requirements and provide relevant Certificates of Reported Compliance. Separate payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract amount are required. Requests for substitutions must be made at the time of Bid on the appropriate form. Bids must be delivered and received at the designated location by the deadline or will be returned unopened.
