Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Framingham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of the rehabilitation of asphalt pavement, guardrails, curbs, sidewalks, and drainage systems on public roads and/or segments of public roads. This includes removing and replacing existing asphalt surface course, construction of HMA/cement concrete sidewalks, ADA compliant curb ramps, stamped/colored asphalt and concrete, drainage rehabilitation/upgrades, removing and resetting all types of curbing/edging, installation of new curbing/edging, adjustment of castings, loaming and seeding, installation of temporary and permanent pavement markings/signs, replacing traffic signal loop detectors, installation of guardrail and chain link fence, temporary maintenance of traffic, and other incidental items. Only contractors on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's approved eligible bidders list for this project will receive official bid documents; all others will receive informational copies. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's Bidnet Direct Portal; submissions by other means will not be accepted and will be considered non-responsive. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, waive minor informalities and technicalities, or cancel the bid in the public interest.
