Salinas Valley Health seeks proposals for the addition of a backup generator and modification of the existing server room at 5 Lower Ragsdale Drive in Monterey, CA. The scope includes installation of a new backup generator with a sound-attenuated enclosure, a new automatic transfer switch, a new switchboard, new feeders, and tie-in to the existing gas main; demolition of the existing transformer, panelboard, and raceways; addition and modification of housekeeping pads for new equipment; and a new uninterrupted power supply to serve the existing server room. Additional server room upgrades include new server equipment, air conditioning units with a refrigerant leak detection system, new rooftop condensing units, and code-required fire alarm system modifications. The building will remain occupied and operational during the project. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be submitted on forms provided. Bid proposals must conform to and be responsive to the Bid and Contract Documents. Bids submitted orally, by telephone, email, or facsimile will not be accepted. Each bid must include: Bid Letter (with addenda acknowledgment), List of Subcontractors, Disqualification Questionnaire, Acknowledgment of Insurance Requirements, Bidder's Guaranty (Bidder's Bond or Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit), and Non-Collusion Affidavit. All responses must be complete, accurate, and true. Incomplete, inaccurate, or untrue responses may result in rejection. The successful bidder must provide labor and material payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders must hold a valid and current Class B California Contractors License at contract award and throughout the work. Minimum prevailing wage rates must be paid.
