Renovation of an educational facility in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of HVAC Replacement at Parkmont and Niles Elementary Schools. To bid on this project, the bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' licenses: Bid Package A, General Trades B license required; Bid Package B, HVAC Trades C-20 license required. The bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the contract. The bidder is also required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. All bids must be on the form provided by the District and must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer, a cashier's check, or a certified check drawn to the order of the Fremont Unified School District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price must accompany the Bid Form and Proposal. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the location and time stated. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if awarded the contract for the work. The successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the contract. The successful bidder will be required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal of three percent (3%) or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation. The contractor and all subcontractors must pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The District has entered into a Project Stabilization Agreement applicable to this project, and the successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to agree to be bound by the Project Stabilization Agreement. The District shall award the contract, if at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. Pre-qualification requirements: Only pre-qualified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this project. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened. Interested bidders can submit prequalification packets at the District's facilities and construction web portal.
