Separate sealed bids will be received for the new construction for Dandridge Memorial Library. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond covering labor and materials in an amount equal to 100% of the contract sum. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976. The bidder's name, license number, license expiration date, license limitation, and the part of license classification applying to the bid must be placed on the bid envelope. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days of bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Upon award, construction will begin on a date specified in the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by the date specified in the contract. Upon receipt of Notice to Proceed, the Contractor must prosecute the work regularly and diligently to ensure full completion on time. Each bidder must familiarize themselves with the contract documents and thoroughly examine the building site before preparing a bid. All interested contractors are required to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment, and perform all work for the New Construction for: Dandridge Memorial Library as specified herein and shown on the accompanying drawings.
