Site work for a water / sewer project in Friendswood, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project entails the installation of a new 16-inch transmission main. Construction will begin just north of GWP #4, where the new main will connect to the existing 16-inch pipeline extending from EST #1. From there, the line will continue south to EST #2. The developer will fund the cost equivalent to a 12-inch diameter pipeline. This portion reflects the added demand and impact their development imposes on the City's water system. The City will cover the cost difference to upsize the line from 12 inches to 16 inches (i.e., the remaining 4 inches). This upsizing is intended to enhance and optimize overall system performance for future capacity and operational flexibility The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 2,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
