Furnish all necessary materials, equipment, superintendence, and labor for the construction of the City of Port Neches, Texas Water Treatment Plant Clarifier Blow Down Valves Project. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Port Neches; or a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five percent of the total bid. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Payment and performance bonds are required from the successful bidder. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets. The City of Port Neches reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. Question Deadline 02/06/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Clarifier No. 1 Blow Down Valve Replacement -Replacement of three existing pneumatic actuated butter valves with new electric actuated butterfly valves. 2. Clarifier No. 2 Blow Down Valve Replacement - Replacement of three existing pneumatic actuated butter valves with new electric actuated butterfly valves. Clarifier No. 1 Blow Off Valve Replacements Replace three existing pneumatic actuated butterfly valves with new electric actuated butterfly valves. 1. Coordinate with plant operators to remove existing clarifier from service. 2. Abandon existing air piping. Plug existing piping at blower header. 3. Remove existing pneumatic actuators and butterfly valves. Replace existing butterfly valves with new 4-inch Pratt 2FII AWWA Butterfly valves with Beck electric (open/close) actuators. 4. New actuators will be powered with 120V from new 10 amp circuits in the existing Filter Valve Actuator Load Center located in the Filter Gallery. 5. New actuators will be controlled using existing open/close control wiring from the Filter Control Room. Install support beam as shown mounted on top of existing concrete and support existing piping and new valves and fittings. Clean and paint all new and existing piping and valves. 1.02 Clarifier No. 2 Blow Off Valve Replacements Replace three existing pneumatic actuated butterfly valves with new electric actuated butterfly valves. 1. Coordinate with plant operators to remove existing clarifier from service. 2. Abandon existing air piping. Plug existing piping at blower header. 3. Remove existing pneumatic actuators and butterfly valves. Replace existing butterfly valves with new 3-inch Pratt 2FII AWWA Butterfly valves with Beck electric (open/close) actuators. 4. New actuators will be powered with 120V from new 10 amp circuits in the existing Filter Valve Actuator Load Center located in the Filter Gallery. 5. New actuators will be controlled using existing open/close control wiring from Filter Control Room. Install support beams and pipe supports as shown. Remove existing grating and support angle as shown. Remove and replace hand railing and install self closing gate. Clean and paint all new and existing piping and valves
