Sealed bids are invited for the Morristown and Waldron New Preschool Classrooms project. Work must be performed under one unified contract. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and executed according to Indiana Board of Accounts Form No. 96, including a financial statement, supplemental bid form, a satisfactory bid bond or certified check (minimum five percent of the total bid price), and submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name and address. Should a successful bidder withdraw or fail to execute a satisfactory contract, the bid deposit may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Construction must fully comply with the provided drawings and specifications. Procurement documents are available for a refundable deposit, with conditions on the number of sets per bidder and additional non-refundable costs for extra sets or electronic media. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive informalities or errors for sixty days after bid opening. The awarded bidder must provide a 100% performance bond and a 100% labor and materials payment bond, both valid for twelve months from work acceptance. The contract includes a non-discrimination provision and requires an affidavit confirming compliance. Substitutions of equal quality and durability are allowed with prior written approval from the architect/engineer and must be identified in the bid, complying with the instructions to bidders.
