The Consultant shall provide professional Basic Services including but not limited to the following Initiate a One Call and conduct a topographic survey of the elevator addition area. Conduct site visit to review conditions and verify dimensions. Prepare base drawings in CAD. Perform code and zoning reviews. The A/E firm is to conduct a pressure test of the entire existing Stand Pipe System and present the results to the City. Any deficiencies are to be addressed in the project. Prepare cover sheet and code analysis sheet. Prepare site construction drawings including existing conditions, demolition, grading, drainage, and details. Prepare architectural floor plans for renovated areas. Prepare elevator tower building sections. Prepare restroom elevations and details. Prepare window and door schedules. Prepare casework elevations and details. Prepare structural drawings including foundation plan. Prepare complete mechanical drawings per project narrative or as otherwise directed by the City based on A/E recommendations. Prepare complete plumbing drawings per project narrative or as otherwise directed by the City based on A/E recommendations. Provide full electrical engineering scope per Project Narrative or as otherwise directed by the City based on A/E recommendations. The City of Johnstown is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide complete design services for renovations to the Public Safety Building located at 401 Washington Street, Johnstown, PA. The selected firm will provide architectural, civil/site, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, geotechnical, life-safety, and ADA-compliant design services. Additional required services include bidding phase administration, construction phase administration, and grant funding administration. Bid documents for multiple prime construction contracts must be completed by May 29, 2026. The project includes a new ADA elevator, mechanical upgrades, renovations to multiple floors, and various ADA and safety improvements. Each proposal must include a cover letter with statement of commitment, a proposal cover page, table of contents, project understanding and approach, firm and team qualifications (identifying prime and sub-consultants, key staff for all disciplines, and experience), relevant project experience, a completed AIA B101-2017 or equivalent agreement (with fees included), and insurance certificates documenting minimum coverage.
