Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Wise, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Sealed bids are requested for the installation of approximately 3,618 tons of SM-12.5 Non-Polishing Asphalt in place, 868 tons of BM-25.OA base asphalt, and necessary patch and preparation work for resurfacing streets. Additionally, about 26,470 square yards of full milling is required for some streets. Notably, 677 tons of BM-25.OA base asphalt and 451 tons of SM12.5 non-polish asphalt are designated for phase 1 of the Town of Wise Sports Complex paving. Bidders are to submit bids on official forms, accompanied by a bid bond, and ensure envelopes are sealed and marked appropriately. Envelopes must also display the contractor’s Virginia license classification, number, and specialty. Bids must be submitted in hard copy; faxed or emailed bids are not accepted. The Town of Wise reserves all customary rights regarding bid acceptance and negotiation. MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to bid. Compliance with federal non-discrimination and civil rights provisions is required.
