Sealed bids are requested from qualified vendors for striping various roads. The successful bidder must provide all equipment, labor, and materials to mark streets as directed. All pavement markings must conform to the latest permanent marking standards as specified in the Virginia Department of Transportation Handbook on Road & Bridge Specifications. Approximately 114,000 linear feet will be marked with yellow paint and 108,360 linear feet with white paint. Pricing must also be included for marking turn arrows, stop bars, cross walks, words, parking spaces, and for repainting the current "Vs" on the roads. The contract may include all, some, or none of these additional bid items. No street marking is to occur until paving contractor work is complete. Upon completion of all asphalt overlays, pavement marking must begin within 72 hours of notice to proceed or as soon as weather permits, and all striping must be completed by June 30, 2026. Bids must be submitted on official bid forms, in sealed envelopes marked "Bid for FY26 Pavement Striping." The Town of Wise reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the best interests of the Town. Compliance with federal non-discrimination and disadvantaged business enterprise utilization requirements is mandatory.
