The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Scott Anderson) is planning a $35 million improvement project for the Madison Shore Line East Railroad Station in Madison, CT. The scope includes a new north-side high-level rail platform, a new pedestrian bridge with dual elevators to meet ADA requirements, a new access road from Old Route 79, and two wetland mitigation sites linked to impacts from platform, tower, and road construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2027 pending funding availability, permitting, and rights-of-way acquisition.
