Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Huntington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Project work includes: Schedule 1 - Runway 12-30 Smoothness Improvements; Add Alternate 1 - Taxiway C Pavement Rehabilitation; Schedule 2 - Select Apron Pavement Rehabilitation; Schedule 3 - AOA Gate 8 Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Pavement Rehabilitation; Add Alternate 2 - GSE Pavements; Schedule 4 - ALCMS Equipment Upgrade. Schedule 1 involves vertical geometric corrections and smoothness improvements of the pavement surface for Runway 12-30 at the Taxiway A (West) and Taxiway G intersection (approx. 35,000 SY); rubber removal; asphalt pavement seal coat; marking removal and installation of new airfield markings for the runway. Add Alt 1 involves mill and overlay of Taxiway C asphalt pavement surface. Schedule 2 involves select PCC cargo apron pavement rehabilitation (approx. 4,800 SY); installation of PCC hardstand and surrounding Hot Mix Asphalt pavement rehabilitation for aircraft parking position 2; installation of airfield surface painted markings. Schedule 3 involves ground service equipment (GSE) asphalt and PCC pavement rehabilitation at AOA Gate 8 (approx. 1,450 SY). Add Alt 2 involves rehabilitation of existing PCC pavement around the existing fuel farm. Schedule 4 involves equipment upgrades to the Airport Lighting Control & Monitoring System (ALCMS). Instructions to bidders: All bidders shall submit evidence of competency and financial responsibility with their bid. Subcontractor experience documentation is also required. Failure to provide this documentation may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Bidders must comply with Federal requirements for proposal preparation and submission, as well as requirements for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation, with a DBE goal of 0.0%. Bidders must be properly licensed under the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act and certify they are not debarred or suspended from participating. A bid guaranty for no less than 5% of the total bid is required. The successful bidder must execute a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, both in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Bids may not be withdrawn for 90 days following the opening. Award will be made to the lowest responsible qualified bidder, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities or omissions. Question Deadline 02/26/2026: All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed in writing to the Engineer. Questions received less than five (5) working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
