Renovation of an educational facility in Huntington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 110,263-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility.
The work includes building renovations in selected areas of a multi-story building. This includes selective demolition, HVAC renovations, related electrical modifications, and refinishing of affected areas. All work is to be provided including, but not limited to, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the provided Bidding Documents and on the specified Form of Proposal. Prime Contract Bidders may download bidding documents from the architect's online site or purchase hard copies. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all bidders to familiarize themselves with the project location and conditions; failure to attend will result in disqualification. Bids must be submitted by the specified deadline to the designated address following the Instructions to Bidders. Late bids or electronically transmitted bids will not be accepted. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. All applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations apply. Liquidated damages will be assessed for delays in substantial or final completion, as specified. The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents, and consists of the following: 1. Building renovations in selected areas of a multi-story building including selective demolition, HVAC renovations and related electrical modifications, and refinishing of affected areas.
