**As of March 06, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 10, 2026.** Sealed proposals from General Contractors will be received for construction of a reroof to East Coweta Middle School, 6291 GA-16, Senoia, GA 30276. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at the project site. Competitive Sealed Proposals will be opened and scored by a Review Committee as outlined in the Instructions to Proposers. Proposal forms and construction documents may be examined at Southern A & E’s office or accessed via their online plan service. No deposits are required and no refunds will be made. Construction documents will not be sent to plan rooms. Submit all questions concerning the Contract Documents to the Architect in writing. Replies will be issued as Addenda, which become part of the Contract. Proposals shall include: a completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form, the signed Bid Form, the Bid Bond, the “Contractor Affidavit and Agreement” demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, and affidavits demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. 50-36-1, Verification of Lawful Presence Within United States through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program. A bid bond in the amount of five percent of the base bid is required and must be submitted with the bid. Only a bid bond is acceptable; no personal, cashier’s, or certified checks or cash will be accepted. Performance and payment bonds for one-hundred percent of the contract sum will be required prior to commencement of construction. All bonds must be written by a surety licensed in Georgia, listed on the Federal Register, and acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities and to reject any or all proposals.
