Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The work is for the 17th Street Stormwater Culvert Lining at Indiana University Bloomington. A unified bid is requested for all work in the project, including general, mechanical, and electrical construction. Bids must be submitted electronically, and bidders must be registered and signed in to the designated plan room to submit a bid. All bid proposals must comply with the bidding documents, which are available for examination. Each bid must include a completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan, a bid security for 5% of the total bid, and the contractor's written drug testing program in full compliance with IC 4-13-18. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and may consider a bid incomplete if it does not provide the required documentation, including the participation plan. The base bid may be held for up to sixty days before awarding contracts, and alternate bids up to ninety days before award and incorporation by change directive. If a successful bidder withdraws or fails to execute the contract within ten days after notice of acceptance, the bid security may be forfeited as liquidated damages. Questions about the project should be directed to the designated engineer, and questions received less than three working days prior to the bid opening will not be answered. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to centrifugally cast cementitious pipe lining. Project Location: On the campus of Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana at the following locations: 1. Crossing 17th Street, south of Memorial Stadium 2. North of Hodge Hall, south of E Law Lane The Project is to be substantially complete and ready for Owner occupancy not later than July 24, 2026
