Site work for a water / sewer project in Washington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Wood County Schools Sanitary Sewer Extension and Water System Improvements Project The project involves the installation of approximately 2,000 linear feet of 12" PVC water line and 2,000 linear feet of 8" PVC gravity sewer, rehabilitation of an existing pressure reducing valve vault, one new fire hydrant, and other related appurtenances and restorations. The work is to be substantially completed within 120 calendar days after the contract times commence, and completed and ready for final payment within 150 days, with liquidated damages set at $1,000 per day. Prospective bidders must register with the designated website as a plan holder. Bidding documents may be obtained in hard copy or digital formats for a fee and are available at the issuing office or online. Bidders must use a two-envelope system for bid submission. Envelope No. 1 should include the bidder's name and address, the contract name, and be received by the Lubeck Public Service District. Envelope No. 2, labeled 'Bid Proposal,' must be placed inside Envelope No. 1. Documents in Envelope No. 1 will be checked for compliance; if in order, Envelope No. 2 will be opened and read aloud. If not, the bid is considered non-responsive and returned. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the base bid, and contractors must have a West Virginia Contractor's License. A Drug Free Workplace Certification is required. Bidders are cautioned that businesses listed on the System for Award Management (SAM) will not be entertained. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Further instructions and requirements are included in the bidding documents.
