#IFB26000241 Federal Aid No. CMAQ-5B27(325) VDOT Project No. 0060-020-875, C501, UPC# 115063 ROUTE 60 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS involves the construction of variable width concrete sidewalk along both sides of Route 60 from Ruthers Road to 300-ft east of Karl Line Drive, a distance of approximately 3,115 LF. The project also includes modifications to existing traffic signals and the installation of new pedestrian signals at two intersections and roadway widening along the southbound side of Turner Road. The work will include grading, excavation, asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drainage structures, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, pedestrian and traffic signals, maintenance of traffic, and adjustment of utilities and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond from a surety company satisfactory to the County Attorney, or his or her designee, or a Certified or Cashier's Check, made payable to: Treasurer, Chesterfield County, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Attorneys-in-fact who sign bid bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. Each bid bond and the accompanying power of attorney should bear the same date. In case of the failure of the bidder to execute the contract within the prescribed time, the County may, at its option consider the bidder in default, and exercise its rights under the bid bond, or, if the Bidder has provided a Certified or Cashier's Check instead of a bid bond, the Certified or Cashier's Check will become the property of the County, and the County will be entitled to retain an amount equal to the difference between the Bidder's Bid and the second-lowest bid.
