Renovation of a military facility in Groton, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Design-Build project is to provide replacement of (2) existing Makeup Air Units (MAU). Request for Information (RFIs): RFIs must be submitted in writing via email to john.a.papitto.civ@us.navy.mil and shawn.a.drake3.civ@us.navy.mil on the attached RFI Form. (Attachment H) An amendment will be issued with the consolidated RFIs answered. No questions will be accepted after 12PM EST on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction: Between $250,000 and $500,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Description of Work: The scope of this Design-Build project is to provide replacement of (2) existing Makeup Air Units (MAU) located in B562 Hazardous Waste Management Facility at Navy SUBASE Groton CT. Both units are 26 years old, replacement parts are no longer available, and neither unit has dehumidification, causing unsafe wet and slippery floors in the shipping, receiving, process and storage areas. New equipment to match existing capacities, but are to include dehumidification of incoming air to 50% RH +/- 10%. Equipment to be energy efficient, cost effective, and technological innovation is allowed (i.e. a Dedicated Outdoor Air Unit (DOAS) vice MAU). Work accomplished in accordance with Attachment A
