Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the interior remodel of the existing student lounge project in the Whitinger Business Building. Bidders are instructed to: - Properly execute bids and address them to Ball State University Board of Trustees. - Submit bids on Contractors Bid For Public Works Form 96 (revised 2013) as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, with financial data not older than 90 days. - Accompany each bid with a certified check, bank draft, or acceptable bidder's bond for at least 5 percent of the total bid price. - Enclose all copies of the bid, bid security, and any required documents in a sealed opaque envelope marked "SEALED BID," with identification of the project name, bidder's name and address. If sent by mail, enclose this in a separate mailing envelope marked "SEALED BID ENCLOSED." - The contractor awarded the work must furnish an acceptable surety bond in the full amount of the contract. - Comply in all respects with IC 5-16-13 regarding public works contracts, including contractor tier structure, training programs, document preservation, and inspection procedures. - Contractors must enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all newly hired employees through the E-Verify Program and execute an affidavit certifying compliance. - Ball State University reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, and to return unopened bids received after the designated time. Bids may be withdrawn prior to the designated time, but no bids may be withdrawn for sixty days thereafter.
