Site work and paving for a road / highway in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project generally consists of the resurfacing of Lawrence Street, from its southern terminus to its northern terminus; Lincoln Street, from Elizabeth Street (C.R. 621) to Cedar Street; Louis Avenue, from Edgewood Terrace (C.R. 610) to Canal Road (C.R. 623); Reid Street, from Armstrong Street to Main Street (C.R. 527); Kennedy Avenue, from Cedar Street to its western terminus; and Remsen Street, from Cedar Street to its terminus. Work includes, but is not limited to, Hot Mix Asphalt milling and/or pavement repairs, replacement of existing Belgian block curb, concrete curb and/or gutter, concrete sidewalk, driveway aprons, installation of 2" thick Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course and 4" thick Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course, storm sewer structure improvements, and related work within the Borough of South Bound Brook, and any other associated work as contained in the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer. Instructions to bidders include: Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Mayor and Borough Council, clearly marked with the project title and the bid opening date and time. If submitting by mail or courier, the bid must be in an outer envelope with the same information. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than 10% of the bid, but not exceeding $20,000, as a guarantee to execute the contract and furnish a performance bond if awarded. A Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized in New Jersey must be included. All bidders and subcontractors must provide proof of business registration and comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act, Prevailing Wage Act, Public Works Contractor Registration and Payroll Certification laws, and all relevant safety and nondiscrimination laws. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities, award the contract based on available funds, and reject any or all bids if deemed in its best interest.
