The project includes the installation of an expansion to the Speedway Wastewater Treatment Plant wet weather system, including a new combined sewer tank as well as a separate wet weather treatment facility, UV equipment, and all other associated work as required by the contract documents to provide a fully operational wastewater treatment plant within Speedway. The work to be performed and the bid to be submitted shall include all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and any other items incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Bidders must enclose each bid in a sealed envelope with the project title and bidder's name and address and submit bids on the forms identified in the contract documents and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the Owner in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price, executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required at the time of contract execution and must remain in effect throughout the term of the contract plus twelve months from substantial completion. All applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the project site and reading and being thoroughly familiar with the contract documents and specifications. Failure to do so will not relieve any bidder from any obligation with respect to the bid. QA date - 2-26-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
