Sealed proposals are requested for all work categories described for the Newaygo Schools Middle School Boiler Replacements. Proposals must be addressed and delivered as specified, with duplicate proposals submitted on the provided proposal form, in a sealed envelope marked with the work category, project name, bidder's name, and address (no staples, only paper clips). Questions must be directed to the Construction Manager. All contractors must include in their bid the cost for furnishing a Co-Obligee Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Co-Obligee Performance Bond, and state a cost deduction if bonds are not required. The Christman Company reserves the right to reject or declare any bid non-responsive if the bidder does not confirm acceptance of the Subcontract without modification. Proposed edits to the Subcontract must be submitted with the bid. Pre-qualification requirements: All contractors must complete the pre-qualification process by submitting a Qualification Statement and a complete audited or reviewed Financial Statement with Accountants Report and Footnotes. Bidders must submit the written or online pre-qualification form. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, money order, or bid bond payable to The Christman Company in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid as bid security. Bidders must certify that they are not an "Iran-linked" business. Each proposal must also include a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder and any member of the Board or Superintendent of the school district. All contractors must be bondable, and prevailing wage rates apply.
