The work consists generally of the construction of approximately 3,400 linear feet of 5-foot wide, 4-inch thick sidewalk, approximately 19 handicap ramps, crosswalk striping, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. All work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Forms provided, in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications. Bids must be sealed, submitted prior to the deadline, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond payable to the City of Glenwood in the amount of 10 percent of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond, Performance Bond, and Insurance Certificates. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The City of Glenwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to disregard informalities or irregularities in proposals.
