Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for the Town of Batavia Town Hall Additions and Renovations project. The project consists of renovation of portions of the existing Town Hall, construction of two additions to the town hall, HVAC improvements, and associated plumbing and electrical work. Bids will be received for four prime contracts: General Building Construction, Plumbing Construction, Mechanical Construction, and Electrical Construction. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount must be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the owner will be required of the successful bidder. Bidders are encouraged to be or use MBE and WBE subcontractors, but it is not required. The contractor must submit payment records, including affidavits certifying payments to all subcontractors, including MBE and WBE firms utilized on the project.
