CCWD is soliciting meter samples for evaluation to identify and prioritize viable meter technologies for use in its treated water service area. Participation requires submission of meters that will be tested and ranked to inform CCWD’s treated water meter evaluation and standardization process. Firms are to submit 5/8” meters for initial screening against CCWD’s Minimum Requirements. Only products meeting these requirements will proceed to Performance Testing. Firms selected for Performance Testing must provide annual pricing for 5/8” through 2” meter sizes for a five-year period. The standardization program may continue annually, up to five additional years at CCWD’s discretion, based on satisfactory performance and compatibility with future advanced metering infrastructure requirements. Vendors must submit a sample of a 5/8” positive displacement meter, and if available, a non-mechanical meter, as well as a completed Vendor Submission Form, technical specifications, test data, warranty terms, documentation of compatibility with advanced metering infrastructure, and at least three utility references currently using the submitted meter models. All information must be submitted electronically and uploaded to Planetbids. Submission of a proposal and samples constitutes acceptance of CCWD’s Purchase Order Terms and Conditions. Failure to indicate exceptions to these terms will waive any such exceptions. Any changes to the proposal will be communicated as written Addenda by CCWD and posted on its website. The award will be based on what is considered in the best interest of CCWD, including the possibility of hiring primary and secondary contractors.
