Project Description: This project consists of comprehensive asbestos, lead-based paint, and hazardous materials abatement at the Ogden-Weber Technical College Event Center Building in North Ogden, Utah. The work is required to support an upcoming renovation, seismic remodel, and reroof project. Abatement includes removal of friable and non-friable asbestos-containing materials, select lead-based painted components, and identified universal waste in accordance with Utah DAQ, EPA NESHAP, and OSHA regulations. Following this phase, the hazardous materials contractor will coordinate directly with the General Contractor to support limited, follow-on abatement associated with construction sequencing, including abatement required for CMU penetrations identified and laid out by the General Contractor. A milestone-based approach may be utilized, including adjustments to the substantial completion date as necessary.
