The work to be performed consists of the installation of 6,700 linear feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron waterline and associated appurtenances on Sleepy Hollow Drive located in Ferguson Township, Centre County. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check, or Bid Bond naming the State College Borough Water Authority as payee or obligee, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submission of other required documents. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, using the forms provided. The contractor must also provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified. All bonds must be executed by sureties listed as acceptable by the U.S. Treasury Department and be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority. Bids must be sealed and marked accordingly. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive defects or irregularities, and accept any bid in its best interest. Bids shall remain open for sixty (60) days from the date of opening. The successful bidder must comply with prevailing minimum wage requirements according to the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination.
