The property is located at 201 Bennett St., West Columbia. a. The demolition project entails the dilapidated house and any other structures on the property. Scope of work a. Demolish the structure down to the foundation. b. Place in roll-off from Waste Connections, the city's solid waste contractor, or other pre-approved method. Remove/empty as needed during project. Additionally a. All utilities have been disconnected from the structure. b. Any known asbestos is to be handled according to state regulations. c. Any lead paint identified is to be handled according to state regulations. The city is accepting bids for the demolition of a dilapidated structure. Bid sheets are available at City Hall and at westcolumbiatx.org under Public Notices. Bids must be submitted to the City Manager at 512 E. Brazos Ave. or by email to citymanager@westcolumbiatx.org. The City of West Columbia reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
