Renovation of a water / sewer project in Archbald, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Lackawanna County Main Street Retaining Wall Repair Project in Archbald Borough. Bids must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the County, and only registered bidders will receive addenda. The project is a Public Works Project and is subject to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. A certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent of the bid amount, made payable to Lackawanna County, must accompany the bid. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope containing the Bid, Bid Bond, and other required forms, addressed to the Lackawanna County Controller's Office and plainly marked for the project. Question Deadline 02/26/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be received in writing or via internet email by the Architect/Engineer. Work shall consist of repair of existing retaining wall, mill and overlay of roadway and all associated work as shown on the Construction Documents, including but not limited to: erosion controls, cofferdams, traffic maintenance and protection, utility coordination, site restoration and all associated work. Utility coordination shall involve coordinating plans for construction of the subject project with the involved utility companies and to arrange for any required temporary or permanent utility relocations and/or temporary support during construction. The County will be responsible for all engineering and construction costs charged by the utility companies for temporary or permanent accommodations for their facilities as required to allow for completion of the subject project. The Contractor's time and effort for the aforementioned coordination with the engineer and the utility companies shall be included as part of the Contractor's base bid.
