Infield Renovations for Softball Fields #1 and #2 at Veterans Field. Sealed bids are invited from contractors for the infield renovations at Veterans Memorial Athletic Complex Softball Field (#1) and (#2) as described in the contract documents. Plans, specifications, and other contract documents may be obtained from the City’s website. Sealed general bids must be submitted to the Purchasing Department at Waltham City Hall. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the bid value. Bids must follow the Prevailing Wage Schedule as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries. Selection procedures and contract awards must follow Massachusetts statute Chapter 30, §39M. Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds for the full contract price will be required from the successful bidder. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids and any sub-bid if it is in the public interest or if the sub-bid does not meet competency or price reasonableness standards.
