This project includes the cold milling and asphalt pavement overlay of the following areas in the downtown vicinity: o 5th Avenue - Cleveland Blvd to Chicago St o 6th Avenue - Cleveland Blvd to Arthur o 7th Avenue - Cleveland Blvd to Blaine St o Kimball Avenue - Cleveland Blvd to UPRR Tracks o 9th Avenue - Cleveland Blvd to UPRR Tracks o Arthur St - Kimball Ave to 10th Ave o Main St - Kimball Ave to 10th Ave All areas include associated traffic control, asphalt patching, adjustment of various utility covers to grade and pavement markings. Action will be taken by the City within thirty (30) days of the opening date and the successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract with the City within ten (10) days after Notice of Acceptance of his bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid, which will be forfeited to the City if the bidder fails to enter into the contract. Checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately following the award of the contract or 30 days after opening, if no award is made. All contractors submitting bids are required to have a valid Idaho Public Works License and to include the number on their submitted Bid. Payment and Performance Bonds equal to the bid amount are required upon award of Contract. This work is financed entirely from City funds. Federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements do not apply.
